How you Can Help
You Can Be A Volunteer
The heart of CASA, its' success and effectiveness, is the volunteer.
In September 2007, CASA of Forsyth County had 56 volunteers serving 111 children involved in the juvenile court system. The need for volunteers is directly related to the needs of the juvenile court. The best thing that could happen in our community would be reducing the need for CASAs. Regretfully, that is just not the case. As the community grows, so does the caseload in our courts and the need for CASA volunteers to advocate for these children. All CASA volunteers must complete 40 hours of training, a day of courtroom observation, and a background check. Our next training class is scheduled to begin January 2008. We are currently processing applications and conducting pre-training interviews. If you are interested, please email Julie
Cullins to request an application or call our office at 770-886-4082.You Can make A Financial Donation
